CULTURAL COMPETENCE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

IEBA is pleased to announce a program of six online workshops from the University of Sydney, National Centre for Cultural Competence. These highly interactive workshops build on each other to help you develop a deep understanding of cultural competence and as the series progresses you will develop a cultural competence framework and action plan that is relevant to your context.

The workshops will:

  • support leaders from a range of diverse boarding contexts to develop their capability, capacity and resilience for culturally competent leadership.
  • support you to actively, ethically, respectfully and successfully engage in intercultural settings.
  • help you to engage meaningfully with diverse cultures and deepen connections between leadership, cultural competence and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FROM TORRENS UNIVERSITY AUSTRALIA

IEBA has partnered with Torrens University Australia to offer their Short Courses programs FREE to IEBA members until December 31st 2020. These Short Courses are online, self-contained, self-paced learning modules of 1-2 hours duration. The course range includes People and Culture, Marketing, Management and Leadership, Business & Finance, Project Management and Design. Each course will come with a Certificate of Completion from the University, which can be useful in demonstrating continuing professional development.
